Gambler Rolling Dice Charm
This one-of-a-kind charm features:
- Victorian, men's cufflink with an enclosed pair of rolling dice behind glass. This piece is encased in a gold filled setting and is originally from the 1800s.
- Originally made and found in England, this charm measures 1" in diameter and hangs from a .75" modern gold filled swivel clasp.
The History:
In Victorian times, a pair of dice may have been used for a casual game of chance, such as street craps. Although they were not a universal symbol of good or bad fortune, Victorians were oft found using dice as a divinatory tool, casting the dice into a circle and gaining insight through various complex measures of interpretation.
