INTERNS, SPRING + SUMMER + FALL 2024

Glen & Effie is seeking highly motivated and passionate college interns to join, grow, and learn with us this spring and summer. We strongly believe that each member of our team is valuable, no matter your role, and we expect each individual to actively contribute to growth-minded conversations and be willing to work, show initiative, and be adaptive in a fast paced environment--even our interns (plus we have a lot of fun while we’re at it)!

Our internships will give you experience in business management, jewelry design and production, marketing, overall business strategy, as well as merchandising.

Each internship will be honed in, catered, and scheduled to each qualified student’s interests and availability within the role outlined below:

Marketing + Media Relations
  • Shadow, assist, and potentially implement digital marketing and media strategies in accordance with the brand goals and objectives.
  • Shadow, assist, and potentially facilitate social media management strategies and tasks.
  • Shadow, assist, and participate in weekly team meetings regarding sales, customer relations, marketing, production, and design in relation to client interaction and engagement online and in person.
  • Shadow and assist with brand photoshoots that correspond with marketing campaigns and overall brand awareness.
  • Knowledge of Adobe creative suite is preferred, but not required for this internship.
Production + Merchandising
  • Shadow, assist, and help with the assembly of jewelry and jewelry packaging.
  • Shadow and assist with inventory management, organization, studio needs, as well as styling and merchandising in our retail space.
  • Shadow, assist, and participate in weekly team meetings regarding sales, customer relations, marketing, production, and design in relation to client interaction and engagement online and in person.
  • Shadow and assist with brand photoshoots that correspond with marketing campaigns and overall brand awareness.
Both of these internships will require 10-20 hours a week.
  
***These internship positions are unpaid, however all interns have the opportunity for potential part-time paid employment. Any Glen & Effie private and public events you choose to work will be paid.

PART-TIME OFFICE MANAGER
The Office Manager works in tandem with the designer and production team to assist with customer service, vendor communication, office organization, and other daily needs. We envision someone with natural organization, communication skills, an independent and self-starter nature, with natural warmth and strong ideation skills. Our ideal candidate will provide exceptional service in all aspects of task management, show ability to multitask, and exemplify the ability to understand and connect the studio/ office's needs and follow through on tasks at hand to completion.
 
More importantly, our ideal candidate will exemplify a mindset of making every moment matter by being open, engaging, exercising creative problem solving skills, and be willing to understand the office and studio's needs to best serve the company as a whole. 
 
This is a client facing (in person and online) and key holding position based in Nashville, TN. 
 
REPORTS TO: 
  • Designer & Production Leadership
CUSTOMER CONNECTION:
  • Demonstrates exceptional people and written communication skills.
  • Acts as an empowered team member, exercising decision-making skills to meet the needs of the studio, showroom and office team members.

  • Willing to collaborate with the leadership team and fellow team members each weekly meeting.

*Must have knowledge and show proficiency in Google Suite, Word, Excel, and have skill in written communication.

BENCH JEWELER APPRENTICE

A bench jeweler apprentice works in tandem with our designer and lead bench jeweler in creation, assembly, restoration, and repair work for all accessories we put on the showroom floor as well as online. We're actively seeking someone with natural dexterity and a willingness to learn. No prior jewelry experience necessary. Our greatest aim is that this position will gradually learn, grow and master our unique ways of working with jewelry to, in the end, work full-time within our company. This position has great opportunity for growth and promotion within Glen & Effie.

PART TIME SALES ASSOCIATE
A Sales Associate works in tandem with the designer and leadership team to cultivate a one-of-a-kind experience and environment for customers each time they walk through our doors or attend an exclusive pop-up event. We envision someone with a vibrant personality, an independent and self-starter nature, with natural warmth. Our ideal candidate will provide exceptional service in all aspects of sales: greeting customers, selling, product knowledge, styling, cash wrap, restock and overall shopkeeping.
 
More importantly, our ideal candidate will have a mindset of making every moment matter by being open, engaging, and willing to understand our customers and their needs to best serve them.
 
This is a client facing position based in Nashville, TN. This position has opportunity for growth.

  • Gains understanding of how merchant skills impact business and the customer experience.
