The History:

Originally part of a Georgian brooch, these bird motifs have been converted into two individual pendants. Each dove is depicted with wings poised for flight and an elongated tail, its sterling silver body and feathers set with numerous small rose-cut diamonds. A ruby accents the eye, while two pearls are positioned at either end of the solid 15k gold bar beneath the bird.

During the Georgian period, diamonds were frequently mounted in silver to complement their icy brilliance, often with gold used for the supporting structure. The detailed metalwork and naturalistic modeling reflect the craftsmanship characteristic of Georgian jewelry, when birds, flowers, and other natural forms were popular decorative subjects. The conversion preserves the original design while allowing each bird to be worn independently.

These pieces were originally made and sourced in England and have since been converted from a brooch into individual pendants. They show wear consistent with age and are comprised of solid 15k and 18k gold alloys.

These pendants measure approximately 1" in length including the bails and approximately 0.625" in width from pearl to pearl.

We recommend pairing this pendant with our Classic Gold Rolo Chain, Classic Silver Rolo Chain, Classic Slim Gold Omega Necklace, or Classic Small Gold Omega Necklace.
