"The Darkest Hour Proceeds The Dawn" Necklace
THE HISTORY
Such true and sweet sentiment this locket holds--"The Darkest Hour Proceeds the Dawn". This sterling silver victorian locket from the 1800s features not just this hand-engraved inscription, but an owl with a moon on one side, and a rising sun and bird on the other. We've hung this statement piece from an antique sterling silver pocket watch chain from the same era. Every element of this necklace is antique, true to its original era and was sourced in England.
This necklace measures 18" with a 1.25" drop from the clasp to the locket. The locket measures 1.5" in width and 2" in height.
