The Victorians certainly believed in the symbolism of it, which is why the motif of the twinned hearts wrapped in a beautiful bow was so popular throughout the period. This design was also a popular engagement ring in it's time. This special ring has a solid 9 karat gold ring shank with a sterling silver setting that hold cut glass pink stones with marcasite details encompassing the design.
