French "Nothing Without Effort" Intaglio Pendant

This one-of-a-kind necklace is composed of:

Victorian, gold gilt watch fob charm from the late 1800s featuring a grape and leaf design holding a hand-etched intaglio seal. The agate intaglio features Cupid running up a ladder to reach a flaming heart at the top, with the French words "Rien Sans Peine" which translates to "Nothing Without Effort" or "No pain, no gain". The message here has nothing to do with the virtues of exercise, and everything to do with risking all and working for love. This fob was sourced in England.
This necklace measures a standard 18” on a modern 14k gold filled chain and swivel clasp, with the pendant measuring 1" in height.
