THE STORY:

This antique bloodstone fob from the late 1800s is encased in sterling silver, backed with a carnelian stone, and swivels on its axis with a modern sterling swivel clasp attached.

The quote, "I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship." from the book Little Women is etched on the front with hand-gilt lettering. Little Women is a novel by Louisa May Alcott, originally published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869.
