THE STORY

This vintage, Italian made, solid 18k gold serpent bracelet is what buttery gold statement dreams are made of. With two diamond eyes and a hand-enameled head and tail, this serpent stunner is made with articulated scale links with a pinch clasp and safety latch. 

This bracelet measures inch 7" in circumference.

THE HISTORY:

Queen Victoria brought snake jewelry into the fashion spotlight in the 1800s when her husband-to-be, Prince Albert, bought her a snake engagement ring, set with an emerald (her birthstone). The Victorians associated the snake motif with eternal love. As one of the first Queens to be regularly seen out and about, Victoria’s style was emulated throughout the world and was quickly emulated in brooches, necklaces, and other jewelry designs not only in her time, but for years to come.
