Guilloché Enamel Switchblade Charm

Sale price$365.00

The History:
This Edwardian sterling silver switchblade charm, crafted in England in the early 1900s, features translucent blue enamel over Guilloché engraving—a decorative technique revealing intricate patterned grooves beneath the enamel’s surface.

This piece was originally made and sourced in England and measures just over 1" from the bottom of the charm to the top of the bail. Please note this piece shows light wear consistent with age.

This pendant is photographed with our Large Gold Filled Charm Chain but pairs nicely with any necklace in our Classics Collection or with a chain of your own on one of our Swivel Clasps

About Guilloché Enameling:
Guilloché enameling is born of precision and patience—made possible only by ornamental lathes, intricate machines first crafted in the 16th century to carve rhythmic, geometric patterns into ivory and wood. What began as an aristocratic pastime of Europe’s elite evolved into an art form of devotion and exactitude. By the 18th century, the rose engine lathe emerged, tracing loops, ellipses, and delicate spirals—like a mechanical heartbeat—etching light into metal with a grace no hand alone could match.
