The History:

This delicate Georgian pendant from the 1700s features a faceted pear-shaped aquamarine suspended beneath a round old mine cut diamond in a simple 10k gold setting. The elongated aquamarine is secured with small prongs, while the diamond is enclosed in a circular bezel with a sterling silver backing, creating a balanced two-stone design.

Aquamarine, a pale blue variety of beryl, was used in Georgian jewelry and became increasingly fashionable during the early nineteenth century, particularly as lighter-colored gemstones gained popularity. Drop-shaped stones were frequently incorporated into earrings, necklaces, and pendants, often paired with diamonds to provide contrast and brilliance. The restrained setting and elegant proportions of this piece are characteristic of Georgian jewelry's emphasis on gemstone color and carefully balanced design.

This piece was originally made and sourced in England. This piece measures just over 0.75" in length including the bail and 0.25" in width.

We recommend pairing this pendant with our Classic Gold Rolo Chain, Classic Silver Rolo Chain, Classic Slim Gold Omega Necklace, or Classic Small Gold Omega Necklace.
