Eleanor Georgian Diamond and Pearl Foliate Pendant

Sale price$685.00

The History:

This delicate Georgian pendant features a fan-shaped arrangement of leaves set with diamond chips suspended beneath a single pearl. The sterling silver setting is composed of slender, graduated sections with scalloped edges and fine detailing, creating a layered foliate design. Small diamonds are set throughout the pendant, adding subtle brilliance to its textured surface. This piece is composed of a sterling silver front with gold gilt backing.

During the Georgian period, jewelers frequently incorporated stylized leaves, feathers, and other botanical forms into their designs. Diamonds were commonly mounted in silver, often backed with gold, to enhance their appearance in candlelight. The pendant's compact proportions and intricate construction reflect the detailed craftsmanship of early nineteenth-century jewelry.

This piece was originally made and sourced in England and shows wear consistent with age. This piece measures 0.75" in length including the bail.

We recommend pairing this pendant with our Classic Gold Rolo Chain, Classic Silver Rolo Chain, Classic Slim Gold Omega Necklace, or Classic Small Gold Omega Necklace.
