The History:

This beautiful Victorian orb pendant converted from a stick pin features a perfectly rounded sphere adorned with dozens of tiny turquoise cabochons, closely set to create a wonderfully textured surface of soft blue and green.

Turquoise was among the most beloved gemstones of the nineteenth century, treasured not only for its distinctive color but also for its associations with protection, friendship, and enduring affection. During the Victorian era, turquoise jewelry was frequently exchanged as a sentimental gift, its blue hue often interpreted as a symbol of constancy and faithful love. The intricate arrangement of stones across this three-dimensional sphere reflects the period's appreciation for richly embellished jewelry and meticulous craftsmanship. Suspended from a simple golden loop, this charming pendant is a lovely example of Victorian turquoise work, equally striking worn alone or among a collection of antique charms.

This piece was originally made and sourced in England and shows wear consistent with age.

This piece measures approximately 0.825" in length including the bail and 0.5" in width.
