Guilloché Enameled Egg Pendant

Sale price$395.00

The History:
This Edwardian sterling silver egg charm, crafted in England in the early 1900s, features translucent blue enamel over Guilloché engraving—a decorative technique revealing intricate patterned grooves beneath the enamel’s surface.

  • The charm measures 1" in height from the top of the bail to the bottom of the charm and .25" in width.

We recommend our Classic Chains to wear this pendant on a delicate necklace or with our Charm Collectors on a larger necklace.

About Guilloché Enameling:
Guilloché enameling is born of precision and patience—made possible only by ornamental lathes, intricate machines first crafted in the 16th century to carve rhythmic, geometric patterns into ivory and wood. What began as an aristocratic pastime of Europe’s elite evolved into an art form of devotion and exactitude. By the 18th century, the rose engine lathe emerged, tracing loops, ellipses, and delicate spirals—like a mechanical heartbeat—etching light into metal with a grace no hand alone could match.
