Bloodstone "W" Signet Ring
THE STORY:
We love a statement--especially one marked by an initial. This stunning hand-etched bloodstone signet ring from the 1800s features the letter "W" on it's face set in solid 10k gold, and still makes for the perfect family heirloom today as it did nearly 200 years ago.
We can trace bloodstones back to ancient times: the Babylonians often used the stones to make seals and amulets. Bloodstone was believed to have healing powers, especially for blood disorders. It is sometimes called the “martyr’s stone,” as legend tells that it was created when drops of Christ’s blood stained jasper at the foot of the cross.
