Potter Art Deco Emerald Green Crystal Bangle

The History:

This Art Deco-era hinged bangle features a row of vivid emerald-green, square princess cut paste stones set within a sterling silver frame and including a safety chain at the hinge. The closely arranged stones create a continuous band of color, reflecting the period's preference for geometric forms and bold contrasts. The bracelet is distinguished by its detailed metalwork, with engraved floral and scroll motifs along the outer edges and a repeating diamond-shaped openwork pattern on the interior. A concealed clasp and fine safety chain complete the design. 

During the 1920s and 1930s, richly colored glass and crystal were frequently incorporated into jewelry, offering the striking appearance of precious gemstones while allowing for larger, more dramatic designs.
