The History:

This Art Deco-era hinged bangle features a continuous row of large, square, princess cut clear paste stones set within a polished sterling silver frame. The stones are arranged in a channel-style setting, creating an uninterrupted band of light. An engraved clasp with a geometric border provides a decorative focal point, while the open gallery beneath the stones removes weight from the bangle. The bracelet is complete with a hinged opening and integrated clasp.

During the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s, jewelry design increasingly emphasized geometric forms, symmetry, and precise arrangements of gemstones. Square and rectangular stone cuts were particularly well suited to the period's architectural aesthetic, allowing jewelers to create continuous patterns with clean, defined edges. Sterling silver and paste stones were also used to achieve the bright, monochromatic appearance associated with many Art Deco designs. This bangle reflects these stylistic influences through its geometric stone arrangement, polished metalwork, and contrasting engraved details.

This piece measures approximately 7" in inner circumference.
