Agnes Victorian Hidden Rosary Egg Pendant

The History:

This unusual Victorian pendant takes the form of a miniature egg, opening to reveal a delicate rosary of black and orange beads concealed within. This piece features a softly polished, natural bone or ivory exterior with delicate natural markings and a cleverly concealed threaded compartment housing its tiny rosary.

Eggs have long held significance in Christian tradition, symbolizing resurrection, renewal, and the promise of new life. This piece measures approximately 1.125" in length including the bail and 0.5" in width. The rosary measures approximately 2.325" in length when removed from the egg.
