"Truly Live" Motto Seal
The Story:
- Victorian, 10k gold and agate watch fob charm from the late 1800s that originally hung from a mans watch chain. It features an agate stone with an Intaglio bird etching that reads "Vive ut viva" in the bottom. This latin phrase translates to mean "Live so that you may live" or "Live so you can truly live". The phrase can be interpreted philosophically as an encouragement to live fully, wisely, or virtuously so as to attain true life or flourishing.
This piece was originally made and sourced in England. This charm measures 1.5" in height from the bottom of the fob to the top of the bail, with the rectangular base measuring just under 1" in x 0.75".
This fob is photographed with our antique solid gold Albert chain, but pairs nicely with any necklace in our Classics Collection. It can also pair with a chain of your own on one of our Swivel Clasps.
