Georgie Victorian Curb Chain Bangle

The History:

This late Victorian bangle is crafted in solid 9k yellow gold and features a graduated curb chain design, with closely interlocking links that increase in size toward the front of the bracelet. A concealed clasp is integrated between two links at the side of the bangle, preserving the continuous appearance of the chain, while an additional safety chain provides security.

Curb chain jewelry became particularly popular during the Victorian era, appearing in watch chains, necklaces, and bracelets. Graduated designs offered a variation on the traditional uniform curb chain, emphasizing the larger central links while allowing the piece to sit comfortably around the wrist.
