Antique Inspiration, Classic Result
This client came to our Nashville studio with her old engagement ring in hand–a high-profile setting with a mix of round brilliant and baguette diamonds surrounding a sparkling center stone.

The client's original ring with the center diamond unset.
She happened to come in soon after G&E's owner and designer, Brooke, had returned from a sourcing trip to New York City. Brooke and the client both were enamored with an antique ring Brooke had spotted in the Diamond District and decided to base the client's new ring off of the bubbly, almost sea urchin-like setting of the antique version.

Wax models of the final ring design–we often print versions with and without the primary stone so clients can see as close to a finished result as possible before fully committing to a design.
A gentle triple band motif on the shoulders slopes down into a delicate but enduring band. And though the center stone is certainly nothing to laugh at by itself, the surrounding diamonds' graduated curves amplify its size and sparkle.

The finished piece, named the Ophelia setting as a nod to the antique inspiration.
