Article: A Diamond Showstopper

A Diamond Showstopper

A Diamond Showstopper

This client came to us with jewelry that had been tucked away in her dresser for years looking to repurpose the gems into a truly spectacular piece.

The client's unworn pieces after unsetting her diamonds.

Her heart was captured by our Celene setting, but as she was already going to use her smaller diamonds in a signet ring, she wanted to do something else with her bigger stones. Inspired by a brooch often worn by Queen Elizabeth, we translated our Celene setting into a beautiful pendant.

A wax model of the final design with the client's stones.

To match the heft and proportions of the pendant, our client chose a deliciously chunky rolo chain and a seamless hinged connector from which to hang her piece. For extra visual interest, we added a subtle mixed metal detail–the innermost bezel for both stones is white gold in contrast to the yellow gold surround.

The finished necklace.

This project was definitely a favorite amongst our team - we love when clients are ready to lean into the dramatic and bold!

The sparkle on this piece can't be overstated.
