The History Lesson:

These restored Victorian engagement bracelets feature gold filled swan design details on the front of each bracelet. This gold filled bracelet comes from a tradition centuries ago in which a groom would present his future bride with a set of bracelets: one to be worn at the beginning of their engagement and the second to be put on the day of her wedding. Women would often pass these down from daughter to daughter.

This pair of engagement bracelets feature Victorian design details and open with a center hinge. This bracelet measures 2.5” across in inner diameter and 6.75” in inner circumference.

Each bracelet is dated December 16, 1879 on the back of the design.
