Fioree Engagement Bracelet
The History Lesson:
This restored Victorian engagement bracelet features gold filled Etruscan floral design details from the late 1800s. This gold filled bracelet comes from a tradition centuries ago in which a groom would present his future bride with a set of bracelets: one to be worn at the beginning of their engagement and the second to be put on the day of her wedding. Women would often pass these down from daughter to daughter.
This bracelet opens with a spring clasp in the center and measures 2” across in closed inner diameter and 5.5” in closed inner circumference (and a 6.25" in open inner circumference) with a patent date of December 16th, 1879.
