Elle Coral Fist Pendant
This one-of-a-kind necklace is composed of:
Victorian gold filled button cuff from the late 1800s with hand embossed textured details and strung coral bead details.
This necklace measures a standard 18” on 14k gold filled chain with the pendant measuring .75" in width.
Hands supplemented many motifs in Victorian jewelry: hands clasped together on their own were also fairly common designs representing loyalty and strength. Hands have represented a symbol of strength, loyalty and fidelity since Ancient Roman times. In the Georgian and Victorian eras, they were added to jewelry pieces to convey these messages. Often shown in delicate poses, such as holding a flower or clasped together, hands represent friendship.
