BOOKING A SESSION
All appointments booked in advance require a security deposit refundable up to 24 hours prior to your session.
If you book a portrait session in advance, you're welcome to purchase a locket design online ahead of time--but it isn't required.
At location pop-ups, open sessions are on a first-come, first served basis--if we're booked, we'll be happy to accommodate your schedule and sign you up for a different day.
Do I need an appointment? Not necessarily, we book sessions in advance prior to location pop-up dates--the remaining openings will be offered on a first come, first served basis on location. We'll be happy to accommodate your schedule and sign you up for a different day if all sessions are filled.
How long is a locket portrait session? 15 minutes to shoot, 30 minutes to process, and 15 minutes to set your locket.
What should I wear? Whatever makes you, you! Dress up or dress down. Because the nature of tintype photography produces high contrast images, we suggest you avoid solid black if possible.
Can I get a digital copy? Absolutely. We scan the tintype before the locket is set so you can share it with your friends!
How many people can you photograph in one shot? Because of the small size of lockets, we typically can only fit one person in the frame. But each locket will hold two pictures--one on each side. Since every locket is one of a kind, some larger lockets will allow two people in the frame.
