This one-of-a-kind necklace is composed of:

  • Victorian watch fob pendant, chain, and clasp from the late 1800s. The watch fob pendant features a hunting dog on the front with an etched carnelian portrait of Diana, the goddess of the hunt in Greek and Roman mythology, on the back. Each element in this design is true to the 1800s are over 200 years old. This piece was originally made and sourced in England.

  • This necklace measures a standard 18” on antique 14k gold filled chain and antique clasp. The pendant measures 1" in length.

The History:

Diana was originally considered to be a goddess of the wilderness and of the hunt, a central sport in both Roman and Greek culture. Early Roman inscriptions to Diana celebrated her primarily as a huntress and patron of hunters.
